Daniel Campbell - CoFounder

Maxswell Satchell and Daniel Campbell are two spirited, young, local working-class guys with an unwavering passion for chocolate and their community. Friends since their high school days, Maxswell and Daniel shared a dream that was as sweet as their favorite treat. Born from a simple suggestion from Maxswell's mother and nurtured by countless carpool conversations on their way to MSU Denver, That Hot Chocolate Place became a reality.

Their journey is a testament to the power of friendship and community. Picture this: two friends, daydreaming about chocolate creations while navigating the bustling streets of Denver, their ideas flowing as smoothly as melted chocolate. They knew they wanted to give back to the Denver Metro Area, the place that helped raised them, supported them, and believed in them.

Maxswell and Daniel are acutely aware of the sacrifices their community made to ensure they could chase their dreams. They embraced the adage that it takes a village to raise a child and felt a profound sense of gratitude. This gratitude fueled their desire to create something special.

So, they poured their hearts into That Hot Chocolate Place, aiming to share their passion for chocolate and desserts. Every cup and every treat they create is crafted with love, designed to bring a warm, homey feeling to the hearts of everyone who indulges in their menu. Maxswell and Daniel invite you to join them on this delicious adventure, where every sip and every bite is a celebration of community, friendship, and the simple joys of life.
